Hospice of the Valley is a non-profit organization providing specialized care for those living with life-limiting illness while giving support to their loved ones. Our philosophy is that dying can be accepted as a unique part of life, respecting the right of each individual to participate in planning for how hospice care will be delivered wherever the patient calls home.

Hospice of the Valley offers support and comfort care to those living with terminal illness when a traditional medical approach is no longer appropriate. Hospice helps each person live each day to the fullest extent possible.

- Alleviates suffering including physical, emotional, social and spiritual suffering.
- Neither hastens nor postpones death
- Focuses on quality of life and maximizing comfort.

Hospice care is available to all terminally ill person whose life expectancy is six months or less and when comfort is the focus of care rather than a cure for the illness. A healthcare professional, friend, family or the patient may make a referral for hospice care.
